Our Company

Founded in 1994, American Quality Foods is the fulfillment of Kathy Milner's vision and commitment to create the best tasting, sugar free dessert mixes on the market today. Starting from her home in the quaint town of Newfane, Vermont with three employees, American Quality Foods has grown into a multi million-dollar operation near Asheville, North Carolina with a staff of 30 employees.

The original purpose of the company was to fill a need for nursing home diabetics who had very few options for delicious tasting sugar free desserts. Kathy's unrelenting commitment to quality, combined with her education and experience in polymer chemistry, led to her creation of over 110 scrumptious, sugar free, low fat dessert recipes. The response was tremendous and our customers now encompass thousands of facilities, and not just diabetics, but anyone interested in enjoying superior, great tasting, sugar free desserts.

We manufacture all of our sugar free dessert products using our own exclusive recipes developed through Kathy's extensive research and great passion for excellence. After outgrowing two buildings, American Quality Foods recently built a new, 17,000 square foot manufacturing facility and office, and we tripled our production capacity by adding state-of-the-art blending and packaging equipment. The sales, packaging and distribution operations are all located in the scenic town of Mills River, North Carolina.
