What You’ll Need:
2 packages Sunburst Orange Cake or Pina Colada Cake Mix
1 package Whipped Topping Mix
2 cups chilled orange juice or 2 cups chilled pineapple juice
1 cup chilled water
Recipe Yields: 30 Servings
To Prepare:
For Orange Sunburst Cake
2 packages Sunburst Orange Cake or Pina Colada Cake Mix
1 package Whipped Topping Mix
2 cups chilled orange juice or 2 cups chilled pineapple juice
1 cup chilled water
Recipe Yields: 30 Servings
To Prepare:
- Prepare cake according to package directions. Spread batter into prepared half sheet or hotel pan and bake according to package directions.
- When cooled, split cake into 2 layers.
- Fill piping bag with Juice Infused Topping (see recipe below) and chill until ready to use.
- Cut cake 6x5 to yield 30 pieces. Pipe Juice infused Topping
between layers as well as on top.
For Orange Sunburst Cake
- Add cold orange juice and cold water to Whipped Topping Mix in a mixing bowl and stir with a whisk until incorporated. Add this mixture to a stand mixer and whip for 6-7 minutes. Yields 8 cups.
- Add cold pineapple juice and cold water to Whipped Topping Mix in a mixing bowl and stir with a whisk until incorporated. Add this mixture to a stand mixer and whip for 6-7 minutes. Yields 8 cups.
